On the central projection of this 3-screen installation, the names of the radicals deported on the Buford (from a microfilm copy of the list published in the New York Times in December 1919) are superimposed onto the chase scene from The Navigator. Their movements reworked at various speeds on the optical printer, Buster Keaton and Kathryn McGuire desperately seek out another passenger aboard a Buford turned into a monumental film decor.

Two intertitles from The Navigator are projected alongside the central screen: “Is there any one on board?”; “Nobody.”
